KIDS HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR OBAMA

Over 500 UK kids give their views on Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States of America takes his oath. Their words show that they are fed up with racism and poverty and are looking to Obama to drive global change.

Hopes are high that America's first black president will "change the difference between black and white" as one school child from England posted on the special Obama Forum. Run by Intuitive Media on one of their safe social networking sites called www.superclubsplus.com, the forum had over 500 kids participating during today's inauguration and in the immediate aftermath.

A flavour of the comments coming from 6 to 13 year olds:

"I think that Obama will be a new voice not just for America but for the world. He is a leader and I think he will lead the world into a better future. "

"Just watched his speech. Unlike loads of other people who make speeches, Obama's was the best. You could listen to what he was saying and not get bored. He's a great public speaker. I reckon he can change the world, help poverty and stop the wars."

"Obama is my Idol, I wanted him to win from the start. I'm glad it has made history that Obama is the first black President. I think he can change the world!!! (Or at least America)!"

"Obama has created what Martin Lutha King created and wished for all these years for a black president I think he will be great changing the way the world respects black people."

"I think he will make a wonderful president and he will make lots of good decisions and will take his job seriously. It does not matter where your from, what colour your skin is or what religion you are........   GO OBAMA!  "

(Look out for Intuitive Media's 30 seconds with the Prime Minister. We gave 7,000 children age 6 to 11 an imaginary 30 seconds in a lift to talk to the Prime Minister and they made very clear demands on the government to do more in a number of key areas. Survey due out February 9th. Please contact us for more information.)
